The BIGG House Band

The House BIGG Band is our very own ensemble formed from some of the finest jazz, big band and show musicians in the UK.

Each month will feature a different special guest fronting the band, from West End stars to international jazz artists.

Expect an exciting mix of classic big band from Count Basie, Stan Kenton and Duke Ellington, to soul and funk from Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, and Toto! 

Meet the band

Trumpet: Matt Yardley (Bandleader) - Currently trumpet on MJ The Musical at the Prince Edward Theatre.

Trumpet: Pablo Mendelssohn - Currently lead trumpet on Back To The Future: The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre.

Trombone: Pete Beachill - performed with Quincy Jones, Sting, Robbie Williams, Shirley Bassey among others and appears regularly with the BBC Strictly Band.

Saxophone: George Millard - Currently lead alto sax on Guys & Dolls at the Bridge Theatre.

Saxophone: Will Gibson - performed with BBC Concert Orchestra, Laura Mvula, Curtis Stigers, Alfie Boe to name but a few.

Saxophone: Jessamy Holder - session and west end sax player. Regularly appears with BBC Big Band, Ronnie Scott’s Big Band and across many London shows.

Keys: Dave Ferris - award winning UK jazz pianist.

Bass: Tom Mark - former bass player of Syd Lawrence Orchestra, also worked with BBC Big Band, John Wilson Orchestra and many more.

Drums: Ian Whitehead - London session drummer, formally drummer on Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre.

Gavin Skeggs - vocalist, songwriter and performer with high-profile shows across the UK & Europe including Pink, Limp Bizkit and Status Quo support slots, BBC and ITV music television shows
